Exploring the quiet drama of texture, the Beton cushion collection reflects Greg Natale’s ongoing fascination with the tactile language of materials. Inspired by the sculptural surfaces of mid-century Brutalist art and architecture, Beton draws on the raw beauty of stone, timber grain and hide, translating these organic references into richly layered textiles. The result is a series of designer cushions that invite touch as much as they reward the eye.
Of the six cushions within Beton, several designs revisit Greg Natale’s archival motifs through a new tactile lens. Venice and Moire are reinterpreted as woven jacquards that emphasise structure and depth. Reintroduced five years after its original debut, Riviera returns, its subtly distressed texture balancing elegance with an edge.
Amur introduces a refined animal motif rendered through jacquard weaving, offered in both gold and black colourways. Completing the collection is Beton, a defining design featuring asymmetrical shapes to evoke the graphic rhythms of Brutalist artworks.
Unified by a palette of tonal neutrals and elevated with glints of metallic thread, the Beton collection celebrates the expressive potential of texture. Here, texture becomes the primary decorative gesture, allowing material, weave and finish to define each design. Versatile and complementary, Beton is a collection for those who — much like Greg himself — enjoy toeing the line between maximalism and minimalism.
While the collection offers flexible styling, the six cushions can be arranged in two complementary groups of three. Style Amur Gold with Beton and Riviera for a warm, low-contrast look that embraces soft shine. For a more grounded aesthetic, Amur Black, Venice and Moire marry greys, greige and black, defined by crisp black stitching. Alternatively, you can mix and match Beton as you’d like!
