While designing a home in Bowral, Greg Natale was also commissioned to work on the owners’ city residence in Sydney’s Darling Point. In need of an interim place to call home while their country property underwent extensive renovations, the clients discovered a recently refurbished gem with sweeping views over the harbour.
Inspired by the couple’s appreciation for the finer things, Greg approached the penthouse interior with a mindset of restrained elegance. Focusing on enhancement rather than overhaul, he built upon the apartment’s strong architectural foundation, elevating the base palette with luxurious materials and glossy finishes. In the kitchen, Greg’s Palladio marble tile introduces dramatic contrast, while in the bedroom, wall-to-wall silk bamboo carpeting lends a soft, opulent feel. All three bathrooms were redesigned, each featuring a different glass-mosaic tile to create immersive, textural spaces that balance the more understated living areas. Low-slung Italian furniture fits the modern space with sleekness and ease, completing an interior that is both distinguished and comfortably urban.
